At least 27 people have been killed after a Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) training aircraft crashed at Milestone School and College in the capital’s Uttara area. 25 of the victims were children – the whole country was shocked by this heart-breaking accident. The nation witnessed a tragic morning, July 22.

National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery Saidur Rahman told an emergency news conference that the death toll was 27, including 25 children. Of the 78 people admitted to the hospital, many are in critical condition. Six of the victims have not yet been identified. ”

“Even if there is no shortage of blood, there can be a shortage of negative blood groups,” he added. Therefore, I request the blood donors of the concerned groups to come forward. ”

The injured are being treated at different hospitals in Dhaka. In addition to doctors, various organizations, university students and the general public have come forward to donate blood and volunteer – which proves that this nation is still unique in humanity in difficult times.

The plane crashed into the Milestone School building at 7: 42 a.m. Locals heard a loud noise before the accident. A fire broke out in part of the building. Rescuers rushed the injured to the hospital.

A pall of gloom has descended over the country. Leaders of various political parties, including the President and the Prime Minister, have expressed their condolences. The government has decided to keep the national flag flying at half-mast.

A high-level inquiry committee has been formed to investigate the cause of the accident, the IAF said. The investigation report will be submitted soon. At the same time, it is urged not to spread rumours and be responsible.

This tragic tragedy is not only the loss of children’s lives, but also a painful blow to the national consciousness. The need of the hour is for the state and society to be vigilant to ensure security for future generations.
