A teenage girl was reportedly chased down the street by two men after they allegedly tried to lure her into a car in broad daylight in Ipswich, Suffolk. Police have launched a hunt for the suspects following the incident.
The girl was approached at around 11:20 a.m. on Felixstowe Road by a small blue car, whose occupants reportedly asked her to get inside. After refusing, she ran toward Murray Road Park, prompting the men to pursue her on foot.
Screaming, the teenager caused the suspects to retreat to their car and flee the area, driving off along Felixstowe Road. Officers were quickly dispatched but were unable to locate the men or the vehicle.
Suffolk Police have released descriptions of the suspects. One is a black male, aged late teens to early 20s, with afro-style dark hair, wearing a black ski mask, black puffer jacket, and grey trousers. The second suspect is a white male of similar age, with blonde hair, reportedly wearing a light-grey Nike Tech tracksuit.
The force has announced that additional patrols will be conducted in the area and urged residents to contact uniformed officers with any questions or information. Witnesses or anyone with CCTV, doorbell footage, or dash-camera recordings from the area around the time of the incident are asked to review their material for potential evidence.
