The aviation community and the nation mourn the loss of two pilots who perished in a plane crash at Southend Airport earlier this month. The deceased have been identified as Captain Danny Marco Franken and First Officer Floris Christiaan Rhee, both believed to be Dutch nationals, according to Zeusch Aviation, the flight operator responsible for the aircraft.
The tragic accident occurred on 13 July, shortly after the plane took off from Southend Airport. The aircraft had been chartered to transport a patient to the United Kingdom for medical treatment. Reports indicate that the patient had already been safely delivered prior to the crash, and the plane was en route back to its base in the Netherlands when the incident took place.
In addition to the two pilots, two other victims were lost in the crash: a female nurse and a male doctor who were aboard the flight, presumably accompanying the patient.
Details surrounding the cause of the crash remain under investigation by the relevant aviation and safety authorities. Zeusch Aviation has expressed profound sorrow over the event, offering condolences to the families of all those affected.
