Two people have been arrested in connection with the death of British influencer Jordan James Parke, widely known as the self‑styled “Lip King”, after he was found dead in London earlier this week. The Metropolitan Police are treating the 34‑year‑old’s death as unexplained and are investigating whether a cosmetic procedure played a role in the incident.
Police were called by the London Ambulance Service on Wednesday, 18 February, after reports of an unconscious man on Lincoln Plaza in Canary Wharf in east London. Officers and paramedics attended the scene and pronounced him dead. His next of kin have been informed, and a post‑mortem examination is expected to be carried out to establish the cause of death.
Following initial inquiries, a 43‑year‑old man and a 52‑year‑old woman were arrested on Friday, 20 February, on suspicion of manslaughter in connection with his death. Both suspects have since been released on bail as the police investigation continues.
Police have indicated that detectives are reviewing information suggesting Parke may have been undergoing a cosmetic procedure prior to his death, though this remains an early line of inquiry. Officers are awaiting the results of the post‑mortem examination, which could shed more light on the circumstances surrounding his sudden passing.
Parke first rose to prominence through extensive cosmetic surgery and regained international attention after appearing on the reality TV show Botched to address complications from his multiple procedures. Over the years, he openly documented his aesthetic transformations, which included lip fillers and other enhancements, and cultivated a large following on social media.
In 2024, Parke was previously arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after a mother‑of‑five died following a non‑surgical Brazilian butt lift (BBL) procedure connected to his beauty clinic, but he was not charged. At the time of his death, he had been on bail in relation to that earlier case, which will now be formally closed due to his passing, though a coroner’s inquest is expected.
Family members have paid tribute to Parke, describing themselves as “numb, shocked and heartbroken”. The ongoing police inquiry aims to clarify whether any unlawful acts contributed to his death and to determine what role, if any, cosmetic treatment has in the incident.
