Zack Polanski has publicly admitted that he was wrong to describe himself as a British Red Cross spokesperson. This admission comes after significant media scrutiny regarding his professional history and his previous claims of charitable representation. Polanski addressed the controversy during a recent interview on the BBC Radio 4 Today programme this morning. He acknowledged that his choice of words was inaccurate when describing his relationship with the charity. The Green Party leader clarified that he had hosted various fundraisers for the British Red Cross. During these events he would speak on stage about their vital work tackling humanitarian crises globally. He expressed deep pride in the work the organisation does for refugees and the climate crisis. However he conceded that the formal title of spokesperson was not one he actually held then. The British Red Cross confirmed that Polanski had never been an official spokesperson for their group. They further stated that they had raised this specific issue with the Green Party leadership directly. Polanski noted that he has since ensured all such claims were removed from his personal website. He explained that he used the wrong word and accepts responsibility for the past oversight now. The Green Party leader also suggested that this scrutiny is motivated by his party’s rising popularity. He claimed that the political and media establishment are becoming increasingly worried about the Greens’ growth. Polanski pointed to the fact that party membership has surged from fifty thousand to over two hundred thousand. He argued that wealthy media owners fear the prospect of paying more in potential wealth taxes. This defensive stance follows a series of reports in the Times about his previous career claims. Polanski accused the publication of scraping the barrel by revisiting events from ten or fifteen years. He also referenced a recent cartoon of him which he described as being deeply antisemitic in nature. The Green Party leader has requested an apology for that specific depiction from the newspaper’s editors. These tensions arise as the country prepares for crucial local and parliamentary elections taking place this Thursday. Polanski is campaigning heavily across England and Scotland and Wales to secure more seats for his party. The Greens are hoping to capitalise on a predicted difficult night for the current Labour Party leadership. Beyond the Red Cross issue Polanski also addressed serious allegations of antisemitism within his own party ranks. Several Green candidates have recently been accused of making unacceptable comments on various social media platforms. Two candidates running for Lambeth council were reportedly arrested on suspicion of stirring up racial hatred online. Polanski stated clearly that these messages are totally unacceptable and must be condemned by all party members. He took personal responsibility for the conduct of his candidates and promised a new vetting process soon. The party plans to introduce compulsory antisemitism training for every individual who runs for public office. Polanski hopes this move will make it clear that such prejudice is completely unwelcome in the party. He described the Greens as a fundamentally anti-racist organisation that serves all communities across the nation. While acknowledging a handful of cases he pointed out they have over four thousand active candidates nationwide. The vast majority of these individuals are doing amazing work in their local areas every single day. When asked about comparisons to Jeremy Corbyn Polanski insisted they are two very different political people. He did however praise several of Corbyn’s previous policies regarding public ownership and the wealth tax system. Polanski admitted he is not ready to become the Prime Minister of the country quite yet today. Having been the leader for only eight months he believes there is still much to learn. He expressed a commitment to putting in the hard work required over the coming few years ahead. Polanski described himself as a human being who is certainly not perfect but is always learning.

His focus remains on the immediate election results and the continued expansion of the Green Party’s influence. The leader believes that the British public is looking for a genuine alternative to traditional political groups. He argued that the focus on his past mistakes is a distraction from urgent policy discussions now. Climate change and social inequality remain the central pillars of his vision for a greener United Kingdom. Polanski remains optimistic that the voters will look past the headlines and focus on the party platform. The upcoming election results will serve as a major test for his leadership and the party’s future. Supporters of the Green Party have rallied behind Polanski despite the recent series of negative media reports. Many believe that the attacks are a sign that the party is finally being taken seriously. Polanski urged his followers to stay focused on the grassroots campaigning that has driven their recent success. He reiterated his belief that the current economic system requires a radical overhaul to help the poor. The Green Party aims to challenge the dominance of the two main political parties in Westminster soon. Polanski concluded that honesty about his past mistakes is the only way to maintain public trust today. He hopes that his transparency regarding the Red Cross title will put the matter to rest finally. The political landscape in the UK continues to shift as smaller parties gain more ground and influence. All eyes will be on the polling stations this Thursday to see if the Greens succeed. The results will determine the direction of local governance and the strength of the environmental movement here. Polanski expects a historic night for his party as they seek to win seats in every region. He remains undeterred by the critics and focused on the long-term goals of the Green Party mission. This election cycle has been one of the most intense and unpredictable in recent British political history. The outcome will likely shape the national conversation for the remainder of the decade in the UK. Polanski believes his party is ready to lead a new era of politics focused on social justice. He has promised to lead with integrity and to address any internal party issues with total transparency. As the final hours of campaigning approach the Green Party is pushing its message harder than ever. Polanski is confident that the voters want a fairer and more sustainable future for their own families. He will continue to advocate for higher taxes on the super-rich to fund essential public services here. The debate over his past claims is just one part of a much larger political story. The English Chronicle will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as the election results arrive. This report confirms the ongoing challenges faced by rising political figures in the modern media age today. Polanski stands by his commitment to serve the public and lead his party through these difficult times. The Green Party’s journey from a small pressure group to a major political force is nearly complete. Future leadership will depend on how well they handle these moments of intense public and media scrutiny. Polanski is determined to prove that he can lead the party to even greater heights very soon.
