A tragic multi‑vehicle collision in County Armagh, Northern Ireland, has claimed the lives of three people and left four others injured, police and emergency services have confirmed. The crash occurred late on Saturday night on the Armagh Road near the village of Moy, prompting a major response from authorities.
At around 10.20 pm, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) received reports of a serious collision involving three cars — a red BMW, a grey Volkswagen and a white Audi. Upon arrival, officers and emergency crews discovered two men, aged 31 and 48, and a 23‑year‑old woman who were tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Four other individuals were injured in the crash, with three still receiving hospital treatment and one believed to be suffering primarily from shock, authorities said. The incident has left local communities reeling from grief and shock as emergency services continue their work.
Assistant Chief Constable Davy Beck described the aftermath as profoundly distressing, offering condolences to the bereaved families and expressing gratitude to the first responders who dealt with the challenging scene late at night.
Local leaders have also spoken out, highlighting the impact on families and communities. Diana Armstrong, a member of the Northern Ireland Assembly for Fermanagh and South Tyrone, called it “a very dark day,” sending her deepest sympathies to those affected. SDLP councillor Thomas O’Hanlon and other local representatives urged residents to keep the grieving families in their thoughts and prayers.
The Armagh Road at Moy remained closed for several hours while police conducted investigations and appealed for witnesses and dashcam footage that might help piece together how the collision unfolded. Authorities say inquiries are ongoing as they work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the crash.
