King Charles Criticized Over Epstein Survivors

The brother of the late Virginia Giuffre recently expressed deep disappointment regarding King Charles III today. Sky Roberts criticized the British monarch for declining to meet with survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse. The King is currently visiting the United States and addressing members of the American federal government. This specific trip has become a significant focal point for advocates seeking greater institutional accountability. Survivors gathered this week in Washington to share their stories with various members of Congress. They hoped the royal visit might provide a platform to highlight their ongoing personal struggle. Sky Roberts spoke passionately during a roundtable discussion hosted by the California Democratic Representative Ro Khanna. He argued that the King missed a vital chance to show genuine solidarity with victims. Many powerful figures linked to these abusive systems still remain beyond the reach of justice. Roberts noted that these survivors are fighting daily to be heard by those in authority.

He suggested that such a meeting would have sent a powerful message to the world. A simple gesture of acknowledgement would have demonstrated that the monarch stands with the vulnerable. Representative Ro Khanna previously sent a formal letter urging the King to meet these survivors. He requested a private session so victims could speak directly about how institutions failed them. The congressman emphasized that many survivors desperately wanted this opportunity to voice their traumatic experiences. However, a lawyer representing the King and Queen later sent a firm written response. This letter was reported by the New York Times and stated that no meeting occurred. The response cited ongoing police inquiries in the United Kingdom as the primary legal reason. It claimed the King was unable to comment directly on matters currently under official investigation. The royal statement asserted that both the King and Queen consistently support all abuse victims. They reiterated this commitment regardless of where or how such heinous crimes were actually perpetrated. The scandal surrounding the late Jeffrey Epstein has continued to cause significant international public concern. The situation is particularly sensitive within the United Kingdom due to complex royal family ties. Epstein maintained a long relationship with the King’s younger brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, for years. Virginia Giuffre, who was one of the most prominent accusers, alleged she was abused repeatedly. She claimed that Mountbatten-Windsor sexually assaulted her after being trafficked by the late Jeffrey Epstein. The prince has consistently denied these serious claims throughout his long period of public scrutiny. He eventually stepped back from all royal public duties following a disastrous 2019 television interview. Two years later, Virginia Giuffre filed a major civil lawsuit against the prince in America. They reached an out-of-court settlement in 2022, though the prince did not admit any wrongdoing. Sadly, Virginia Giuffre took her own life in April of last year, shocking her many supporters. Her moving memoir was published posthumously last October to keep her important message alive today. That same month, Mountbatten-Windsor was stripped of his remaining royal titles and his home. The move followed growing public controversy regarding his ongoing links to the disgraced Jeffrey Epstein. Recent files released by the Justice Department have shed new light on their problematic relationship. In February, the prince was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office positions held. Prosecutors alleged he may have shared confidential material while serving as a British trade envoy. He has denied these accusations and has not yet been charged with any formal crime. Following that arrest, the King issued a rare public statement regarding the legal process. Charles stated that the law must take its course regarding his own younger brother now. He concluded that it would not be right to comment further while investigations are active. The family of Virginia Giuffre reacted to the news of the arrest with cautious optimism. They stated their hearts felt lifted knowing that no one is above the law today. Representative Ro Khanna convened this week’s roundtable to discuss the harsh realities of sexual assault. He wanted to highlight failures in current legal systems and advocate for better protective laws. The discussion included several relatives of Giuffre along with other survivors and human rights advocates.

They sought to address what actions Congress could take to prevent future abuse of children. Earlier this week, Sky Roberts told Sky News that the missed meeting was a tragedy. He explained that a monarch could provide comfort simply by looking into a victim’s eyes. A promise of a fair and thorough investigation would have carried immense weight for survivors. It would not matter if the perpetrator was a brother or another powerful global figure. A king possesses the unique ability to declare that he stands firmly with the survivors. His refusal to engage has left many advocates feeling abandoned during this high-profile royal tour. The ongoing tension between royal tradition and modern calls for justice remains a complex issue. Citizens are watching closely to see how the British monarchy navigates these difficult systemic challenges. The focus on accountability shows that society is no longer willing to ignore past abuses. Whether these survivors will eventually receive the recognition they seek remains an open, painful question. Their journey for truth and justice continues despite the lack of support from senior royalty. This incident highlights the growing divide between old institutional habits and contemporary demands for transparency. The world remains focused on the outcome of the various police investigations currently underway now. Only time will reveal if the truth can finally bring peace to these brave survivors.
